By accessing or using Bizon ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Bizon provides a data pipeline orchestration platform that enables users to create, manage, and monitor data pipelines. The Service includes:

  • Web-based user interface for pipeline management
  • REST API for programmatic access
  • AI-powered pipeline creation assistant
  • Custom source connector builder
  • Scheduling and execution infrastructure

3. Account Registration

For self-hosted deployments of Bizon Core or Bizon Platform, no registration with Bizon is required. You may use the software freely under the terms of the GPL-3.0 license.

If you choose to interact with our website or services, you must:

  • Be at least 16 years old
  • Provide accurate information when contacting us
  • Accept responsibility for your use of the software

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe intellectual property rights of others
  • Transmit malware or malicious code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems
  • Interfere with the Service's operation
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
  • Use the Service to process protected health information (PHI) without a BAA
  • Circumvent usage limits or billing mechanisms

5. Open Source Licensing

License

Bizon Core and Bizon Platform are open source software licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 (GPL-3.0). You may use, modify, and distribute the software in accordance with the license terms.

Self-Hosting Responsibilities

When self-hosting Bizon, you are responsible for:

  • Provisioning and maintaining your own infrastructure
  • Securing your deployment and data
  • Implementing backup and disaster recovery procedures
  • Complying with applicable data protection regulations
  • Managing access controls and authentication

6. Your Data

Ownership

You retain ownership of all data you upload, create, or process through the Service ("Your Data"). We do not claim ownership of Your Data.

License

You grant us a limited license to access, process, and store Your Data solely to provide the Service.

Responsibility

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use and process Your Data. You must not upload data that violates third-party rights or applicable laws.

Encryption

Pipeline configurations containing credentials are encrypted at rest. However, you are responsible for managing access to your organization.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, documentation, and branding, is owned by Bizon and protected by intellectual property laws.

Bizon Core is licensed under GPL-3.0. Your use of the open-source components is governed by that license.

8. Self-Hosted Nature

Bizon is self-hosted software. You are responsible for the availability, performance, and reliability of your own deployment. We do not provide hosting services or service level agreements (SLAs) for self-hosted installations.

This website and documentation may be updated or become temporarily unavailable. Such changes do not affect your self-hosted deployment.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND
  • WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
  • WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DATA LOSS CAUSED BY YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE
  • OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED $100 USD

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Bizon harmless from claims arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your Data
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of third-party rights

11. Termination

Your right to use the open source software continues as long as you comply with the GPL-3.0 license. We may terminate your access to this website or support channels for:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Abusive behavior toward contributors or community members
  • Legal or security reasons

Termination of website access does not affect your right to use the self-hosted software under the GPL-3.0 license.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Service at least 30 days before taking effect.

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Paris, France.
